As part of the nationwide voter awareness campaign for 13th National Parliamentary Election and the 2026 Referendum, ordinary citizens across the country have shared their thoughts, suggestions and concerns directly with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus through a unique initiative called “Public Opinion Box.”

Under the campaign slogan, “The Key to the Country is in Your Hands,” campaign vehicles known as “Vote’r Gari” traveled to over 2,100 locations nationwide, including union, upazila and district headquarters, as well as remote areas, inviting citizens to submit handwritten messages expressing their personal, social and national concerns.

According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, a total of 40,206 messages were collected. The submissions reflected a wide spectrum of issues: some citizens shared personal hardships, while others called for harassment-free public services, reforms in state institutions, justice for the July killings, gender equality, child safety, improved education and a corruption-free, fair Bangladesh.

Alongside praise and constructive suggestions, some messages included criticism of the government and expressions of anger.

The messages came from across the country, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Barishal, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh, highlighting the diverse voices and experiences of citizens nationwide.

Many messages stood out for their sincerity and emotional depth. Ten-year-old Rafa from Gazipur, for example, wrote, “My suggestion is that I want to see a future Bangladesh where I can live safely within the soil and air of this country. To build such a future Bangladesh, hold elections to create policymakers.”

Other citizens emphasized the need for free and fair voting, better market regulation, minority rights, women’s and children’s safety and nationwide reforms reflecting the spirit of the July uprising.

Reading the messages, the Chief Adviser expressed his deep appreciation for the public’s candid and heartfelt feedback.

He stressed that all praise, suggestions and criticisms would be preserved without alteration, valuing them as an essential resource for the government.
