2 killed in Rajshahi road crash

Two individuals were killed and another one injured in a road crash in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi district on Tuesday morning.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be known.

According to sources, the incident occurred at around 8 AM when a sand-laden drum truck collided head-on with a human hauler (Nasimon) at Nimtala Bazar on the Puthia-Taherpur road, causing one individual to die on the spot and another one to sustain serious injuries.
Later, the injured was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, but he succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. Another injured individual is receiving treatment at the hospital.

Puthia Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Faridul Islam confirmed the incident and said that further action will be taken.
