Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday handed over the ownership deed and keys of a flat to the family of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi at State Guest House Jamuna.
The flat, located in the capital’s Lalmatiya area, was allocated by National Housing Authority.
The handover took place in the presence of Shaheed Hadi’s wife and other family members, according to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Housing and Public Works Ministry Secretary Md Nazrul Islam and National Housing Authority Chairman Most Ferdousi Begum were present at the ceremony.
Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and a key organiser of the July Uprising, was shot on December 12 last year while travelling in a battery-run auto-rickshaw at Paltan area of the city.
He was initially taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later transferred to Evercare Hospital as his condition worsened.
On December 15, he was flown to Singapore by air ambulance for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his bullet injuries on December 18.
