50th BCS preli results published; 12,385 candidates pass

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Tuesday published the results of 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination, with 12,385 candidates qualifying for the next stage.

The results were released on BPSC website, according to a notification signed by BPSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Masuma Afrin.

BPSC said the written examination for successful candidates is tentatively scheduled to begin on April 9.

The commission issued 50th BCS circular on November 26 last year to fill 1,755 cadre and 385 non-cadre posts.

A total of 290,951 candidates applied to participate in the preliminary examination.

The preliminary test was conducted on January 30 at 190 centres across Dhaka and seven other divisional cities simultaneously.
