Gas Balloon Blast

18 injured during BNP campaign in Gazipur

At least 18 people sustained burn injuries when a gas-filled balloon exploded during a campaign of BNP-nominated candidate Manzurul Karim Rony in the Gazipur-2 constituency on Monday.

The incident occurred around 4:00 pm on the main road of Tongi Bazar. The injured were rushed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery's emergency department by 6:15 pm.
