Youth killed in Rajbari road crash

A youth was killed in a road crash at Goalanda upazila of Rajbari district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Shithil Bishwas Setu, 25, son of Kamal Bishwas, a resident of Nilu Sheikh Para under Ward No. 4 of Goalanda Municipality.

According to sources, the incident occurred around 2:00 PM in Goalanda Bazar main road area, when Setu’s motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw, causing him to be thrown onto the road and he sustain serious injuries.
Later, locals rescued him and rushed him to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for advanced treatment but he died on the way to Dhaka.

Setu’s father-in-law Ranjit Kumar Poddar confirmed the death.
