Manna withdraws from Dhaka-18 election race

Nagorik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna has announced his withdrawal decision from the electoral race in the Dhaka-18 constituency, three days before the national election.

He informed the matter in a post on his verified Facebook page around 12:30AM on Monday.

Manna wrote, ''I am now in Bogura. Dhaka-18 is a very large constituency. The election there is so expensive. In this context, I have decided to withdraw from the electoral race in Dhaka-18.''

''Some people may feel hurt by this decision and I sincerely express my regret,'' he added.
