The deceased was identified as Jahangir Hossain Sana, 55, son of Noyez Sana of Chaluhati village in Manirampur upazila of Jashore district, now residing in Chandpur village under Narail Sadar upazila.

According to sources, Jahangir returned home on Saturday night after driving his van as usual.

Later on Sunday morning, locals found his blood-stained lying body and informed police.

Being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Narail General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Confirming the incident, Narail Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Oli Mia said that police are working to identify the assailants.
