All educational institutions across the country are set for a consecutive five-day closure starting next week, marking the first extended break of the academic year.

According to the official holiday calendar from the Ministry of Education, classroom activities will remain suspended from February 11 to February 15 due to a combination of the national election and religious observances.

The closure begins on February 11 and 12, which have been designated as holidays for the 13th National Parliamentary Election. This is immediately followed by the weekly weekend holidays on February 13 (Friday) and February 14 (Saturday).
The break concludes on February 15 with a scheduled holiday for the Hindu festival of Maha Shivaratri.

Government directives have further clarified the holiday structure surrounding the upcoming polls. While February 12 was previously announced as a general holiday for election day, February 11 has also been declared a general holiday to facilitate the voting process.

Additionally, a special holiday has been designated for February 10 specifically for workers in industrial sectors.

This five-day period represents the fifth official holiday on the current academic calendar and is the longest stretch of closure since the start of the new year.
