Bangladesh cricketers made a significant leap in the ICC women's T20 rankings following an unbeaten run in the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

The Tigresses, as it is adorably called, secured their place in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in England and Wales in June-July, after topping the qualifiers with seven consecutive victories.

The team's collective effort during the tournament was reflected in the latest rankings update, with several Bangladeshi players making notable gains.

Sobhana Mostari, captain Nigar Sultana Joty, and opener Dilara Akhtar impressed with the bat, leading to improved rankings.

Among them, Sobhana who showcased her hard-hitting prowess made the biggest jump. She finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the qualifiers with 262 runs from seven matches, climbing 16 places to reach 36th in the women's T20 batting rankings.

Captain Nigar Sultana Joty, who amassed 154 runs in the tournament, moved up three places to 19th, while Dilara Akhtar rose five places to 65th.

Bangladesh also enjoyed success in the bowling rankings. Left-arm spinner Nahida Akhtar, who claimed eight wickets in the qualifiers, climbed eight places to 28th in the women's T20 bowlers' rankings.
Players from other teams also made progress. Ireland's Arlene Kelly moved up seven places to 36th, while Orla Prendergast jumped 10 spots to 45th.

Scotland's 20-year-old all-rounder Catherine Fraser delivered a standout performance, scoring 184 runs and taking eight wickets in the tournament. As a result, she rose seven places to 37th in the women's T20 bowling rankings and improved three places to joint 22nd in the all-rounders' list. "BSS
