Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that they will transform northern Bangladesh into the capital of agro-industries.

''Our young men will get jobs, young women will get opportunities, mothers will benefit, brothers will benefit, no one will remain unemployed,'' he said while addressing in Kurigram rally on Wednesday.

Referring to Kurigram as the most deprived district, Jamaat Ameer added that if Jamaat comes to power, development will begin from the country’s most neglected district Kurigram.

''No landlord will be accepted in this Bangladesh anymore. This Bangladesh will belong to the people.''

Mentioning women's security, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ''Women must be ensured 100 per cent security. A country where mothers are not safe, cannot be my country. We will not look at caste or religion.''
He commented that in the past, people were shot dead like birds along the border and no justice was served. ''If we come to power, no Felani will ever have to hang on barbed wire again.''
