3 held as joint forces recover 95 crude bombs in Shariatpur

Joint forces arrested three individuals and recovered 95 crude bombs during a drive in Shariatpur’s Naria upazila early Monday.

The arrested were identified as Nasir Uddin Bachhu Peda, 55, Mehedi Hasan Peda, 30 and Rony Peda, 25.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of joint forces officials conducted a drive around 1:55 AM at Poragachha Bepari Kandi village, targeting the house of Nasir Uddin Bachhu Peda and a mosque adjacent to his residence

During the drive, joint forces recovered 95 crude bombs stored in 12 buckets from the house and the nearby mosque.

Naria Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Bahar Mia confirmed the recovery.
