Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), in collaboration with the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), formally inaugurated the newly renovated 'RISE Seminar Room' at the RISE Centre, BUET on Saturday.
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of both organizations to strengthening the industry-academia collaboration through research and knowledge sharing.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Vice-Chancellor of BUET Professor Dr Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman as the chief guest. MGI Director Tanjima Mostafa attended the event as special guest. Director of RISE Professor Mohammad Shariful Islam, MGI Executive Director (UCIL) Mohammed Khurshed Alam, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Sanjib Kumar Saha, Sr GM (Brand) Kazi Md. Mohiuddin along with the distinguished deans, directors, heads of departments, and respected faculty members of BUET and MGI officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.
The RISE Seminar Room has been renovated as part of the ongoing collaboration between MGI and BUET to facilitate ideas and knowledge sharing, research and development and innovations.
Aspiring engineers can engage with industry insights, emerging technologies, and innovation in this seminar room. Previously, MGI's Building Materials Division has recently completed a joint research project on Rapid Hardening Cement with RISE. These collaborations have encouraged MGI to engage with BUET for more projects in the future.
