Will provide extortionists with honourable work as well: Jamaat Ameer

Addressing extortionists, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, ''Extortionist, do not be afraid. We will give you honourable work as well. You will no longer have to move around hiding your face in society.''

''No one will call your parents the parents of an extortionist, no one will call your wife the wife of an extortionist. You will be able to live in society with dignity.''

He made these remarks at an election rally held at the SM High School field in Gaibandha's Palashbari.

Farmers do not receive fair prices for two reasons-- first middlemen and second, extortion at various collection points. ''We will eliminate all extortionists.''

''Jamaat leaders and activists were in the country tolerating torture, they had not flew giving bond. Those who love their country and countrymen, do not flee away.''
Jamaat Ameer committed that his party would implement the first Teesta Mega Plan in northern Bangladesh.

During his speech, he urged voters to cast a 'Yes' vote in the upcoming referendum.

Earlier this morning, the Jamaat leader visited Abu Sayeed's grave at Babanpur village of Pirganj upazila. He also metAbu Sayeed's family members there.
