Addressing extortionists, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, ''Extortionist, do not be afraid. We will give you honourable work as well. You will no longer have to move around hiding your face in society.''
''No one will call your parents the parents of an extortionist, no one will call your wife the wife of an extortionist. You will be able to live in society with dignity.''
He made these remarks at an election rally held at the SM High School field in Gaibandha's Palashbari.
