BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that if the BNP forms a government after being elected through February 12 election, it will govern the country based on the principles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He made the remarks on Thursday at the BNP’s first election rally held at the Government Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet.
Tarique Rahman said that conspirators are still active. ''Those who are plotting at home and abroad, we must remain vigilant against them. The people of this country have united before to thwart conspiracies and in the future as well, the people will resist all conspiracies.''
He added, ''In the name of development, we have seen how the wealth of the country’s people has been looted and siphoned off. We want to change this situation. That is why you should stand by the 'sheaf of paddy'. We want to stand by the farmers. For this reason, you must vote for the sheaf of paddy.''
The BNP Chairperson said that after winning the election on the February 12th, we want to carry out canal excavation like Ziaur Rahman did. At that time, he led slogans with everyone present, saying, ''We will work and build the nation, Bangladesh first.''
