The US Embassy in Dhaka has said that students studying in the United States on F or M visas will be exempt from the visa bond of up to $15,000 requirement.

"Bangladeshi nationals who are approved for US business or tourist (B1/B2) visas from Wednesday (21 January) will be required to submit a visa bond of up to $15,000. However, students studying in the United States on F or M visas will be exempt from this requirement," the US Embassy in Dhaka shared the information in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the visa bond requirement does not apply to students holding F or M visas. Only eligible applicants for business or tourist (B1/B2) visas will be required to pay the bond, where applicable.

For accurate and up-to-date information regarding US visas, the embassy has advised applicants to visit its official website https://bd.usembassy.gov/visas/.
