Veteran actor Ilias Javed passes away

Veteran actor Ilias Javed passed away on Wednesday noon at his Uttara residence in the capital. He was 82.

He breathed his last at 12noon, Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association's executive member Sunny Rahman confirmed this.

He said, ''Javed Bhai had been suffering from illness for a long time. All please pray for his eternal peace.''

Javed made his debut as a hero in the 1964 Urdu film 'Nai Zindagi'.

His notable films: 'Maleka Banu', 'Nishan', 'Papi Shatru', 'Rokto Shopoth', 'Saheb Bibi Golam', 'Kajol Rekha', 'Onek Din Agey', 'Ajio Bhulini', 'Kothor', 'Ma Baba Shontan', 'Rakhal Raja'.
