Dear Sir,
The dalal (broker) cycle is one of the major causes of suffering in government hospitals in Bangladesh. At present, there seems to be no end to the misery of common people due to the poor condition of medical services. In many hospitals, the number of brokers is greater than the number of doctors. Helpless patients often fall into the trap of these brokers.
Even after standing in long queues for hours, genuine patients are deprived of services, while those who use brokers enter late and receive treatment earlier in exchange for money. Naturally, this creates frustration, anger, and deep dissatisfaction among the general public.
Strict laws should be enforced to identify and punish these brokers. Only then can medical services become accessible, fair, and humane for the common people.
