RAB official gunned down in Ctg

A RAB official was shot to death and four others were injured seriously at Jungle Salimpur area of Chattogram district on Monday evening.

Deceased Motaleb was RAB Deputy Assistant Secretary.

According to sources, Jungle Salimpur area, located in Salimpur union of Sitakunda upazila, is designated as a government land but has been almost entirely controlled by groups of miscreants for more than three decades.
Motaleb was killed after miscreants, equipped with firearms and some lethal weapons, attacked his team when the RAB personnel raided the area.

Chattogram Range deputy inspector general of police Md Ahsan Habib Palash confirmed the death, saying that law enforcers are often attacked when they enter this area.
