Mahmudur Rahman Manna, President of Nagorik Oikya, is in better health than before and is currently in stable condition, according to a medical board formed by physicians at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) Hospital.
Doctors said there is no immediate risk to his health at this moment. A medical board was formed in Saturday at the Cardiology Department's CCU-2 of BMU Hospital to conduct a comprehensive health assessment. Members of the board are closely monitoring his condition.
According to medical sources, Manna was taken to the emergency department of BMU Hospital late in Friday after experiencing chest pain. After receiving initial treatment, he was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for intensive observation.
Following the medical board's evaluation at around 12:00 pm today, Professor Dr. M. A. Mukit, Chairman of the Cardiology Department, stated that Manna's physical condition is currently satisfactory. He added that several additional medical tests will be conducted as part of ongoing treatment, but emphasized that there is no major cause for concern at this time.
