Tigresses take on USA to open ICC T20 WC Qualifiers

Bangladesh Women's team will take on USA to kick-start their ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers campaign today (Sunday) at Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground.

Drawn in Group A, Bangladesh will also face off Ireland, Namibia and Papua New Guinea to qualify to the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in England and Wales in June-July this year.

The Bangladesh Women's team however had a superb preparation in the build up to the tournament as they won both of their official warm-up matches.

They had beaten Netherlands by 26 runs in the first game before registering a dominating 34-run victory over Thailand in the second and final warm-up match.

Bangladesh will take on Papua New Guinea, Namibia and Ireland on January 20, 22 and 24 respectively.

The top three teams from Group A will advance to the Super Six stage, where they will face the top three sides from Group B.
The top four teams from the Super Six will qualify for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

The Group B team is formed with Nepal, Thailand, Zimbabwe, Netherlands and Scotland. "BSS
