Dear Sir,
The readymade garments industry is a backbone of Bangladesh's economy, contributing a significant portion of the country's export earnings. Recently, however, this vital sector has been facing a severe crisis. Rising costs of raw materials, declining orders from foreign buyers and increasing worker unrest have put enormous pressure on factories.
To save this crucial industry, immediate action is needed. The government, factory owners and workers must engage in effective dialogue and make practical decisions. Ensuring fair wages, creating a worker-friendly environment and restoring confidence in the international market are essential steps.
It is therefore imperative to take strong and practical measures to secure the future of Bangladesh's garment industry and maintain its role as a key driver of economic growth.
