Ex-ACC official Jahurul grilled for corruption

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday interrogated its former commissioner Md. Zahurul Haque for about three hours over multiple corruption allegations, including abuse of power, financial misconduct, and large-scale money laundering.

The former ACC commissioner appeared at the commission's head office in Segunbagicha at around 10:30am on January 14, following formal summons issued by the agency.

According to ACC officials, Zahurul Haque is accused of abusing his official authority to obtain illegal financial benefits from accused persons in cases under investigation. He is also alleged to have secured a Rajuk plot through forged documents, constituting criminal breach of trust and abuse of public office.
