The preliminary test for the 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination will be held on January 30 in eight divisional cities.
The exam will be held from 10AM to 12noon that day, The Public Service Commission (PSC) informed this in a press release on Tuesday.
The PSC has asked candidates to reach their respective examination centres by 9:30AM, stating that all the gates of the centres will be closed after that time.
The preliminary exam consists of a 200-mark Multiple Choice Question exam. Candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer, while 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
The commission says that no candidate will be allowed with books, all types of watches, mobile phones, scientific or programmable calculators, all types of electronic devices, any device similar to bank or credit cards, jewellery, bracelets, bags and wallets to enter the centres.
