Panchagarh, Dhaka, Jashore and Kushtia have secured their places in the semi-finals of the ongoing TCL National Youth Men's Handball Championship 2026 on Tuesday at the Shaheed M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Paltan, Dhaka.
The first semi-final will be played today) Wednesday) at 1:30 pm, where Panchagarh will face Jashore. The second semi-final, scheduled for 3:00 pm, will see Dhaka take on Kushtia.
On the third day of the competition on Tuesday, wins were recorded by Kushtia, Jamalpur, Panchagarh, Chapainawabganj and Dhaka. Dhaka enjoyed a busy day, playing two matches and winning both. They first defeated Faridpur 31-3, leading 17-2 at half-time. Later, Dhaka overcame Jashore 34-23 after going into the break with an 18-13 advantage.
Panchagarh continued their strong form with a 34-17 win over Mymensingh, leading 16-10 at half-time.
Kushtia also played two matches and emerged victorious in both. They beat Madaripur 28-15, having led 15-5 at the interval, and later defeated Chapainawabganj 28-16 after taking a 12-4 half-time lead.
In another closely contested match, Chapainawabganj edged past Mymensingh 28-27, leading 17-13 at half-time. Jamalpur also registered a win, beating Narail 24-13, with a 13-4 lead at the break.
The championship is nearing its climax, with the semi-finals set for Wednesday and the final scheduled for 15 January.
