BAEC Officers' Association holds AGM at Kuakata

"Annual General Meeting-2025" of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) Officers' Association was held at the conference hall of the 'Tourism Holiday Complex and Youth Inn' motel located in Kuakata, popularly known as the Daughter of the Sea, says a press release.

The welcome address at the meeting was delivered by the Association's esteemed President, Md Sirajul Arefin. As he has recently proceeded on final retirement, he formally handed over the responsibilities of the presidency to the Association's most senior Vice President, Md. Golam Mahbub, in the presence of the general members, and appointed him as the President of the Annual General Meeting.

At the AGM, the General Secretary of the Association, ATM Golam Kibria, presented the Secretary's report, and the Treasurer, Masud Rana Mondal, presented the financial report.
The convener of the Constitution Amendment Committee, S M Nizamul Islam, presented the committee's report, and the Member-Secretary, Maruf Hossain, highlighted the rationale behind the report.

With more than two-thirds of the members present at the AGM, several important proposals, including amendments to the constitution of the BAPSHK Officers' Association, were approved.

For the first time, the BAPSHK Officers' Association held its general meeting outside Dhaka, providing members the opportunity to participate both in person and via a virtual platform. At the annual general meeting held in Kuakata, more than 75% of the Association's members attended, including the Vice President of the Executive Council, Mahmud Hossain; Joint Secretary, Mohammad Samsuddoha; Cultural Secretary, Munshi Maksud Rana; and Council members. Md. Abu Taher, Md. Mozzaffar Ali Mia, Md. Azibur Rahman Molla, Md Samsul Islam, Mohammad Solaiman Mia, and Rozina Parvin.

After the AGM, a delightful cultural programme was organized for the Association's members and their families, presented by the local cultural organization "Kuakata Shilpi Goshthi."
