'July fighter' Surovi gets bail in extortion case 

A court has granted bail to Tahrima Jannat Surovi, the controversial 'July fighter,' just hours after a remand order was issued against her.

Surovi, arrested on multiple charges including blackmail, litigation abuse, and fraud, was taken to court by police, who requested her remand. The court initially granted a two-day remand, after which a revision application was filed in the District Judge's Court. Alongside the revision, an interim bail application was submitted. After reviewing the submissions and circumstances of the case, the court expressed satisfaction and granted her bail at 6:15 pm on Monday, confirmed Inspector Abdul Mannan of Gazipur Court.

Police allege that she is involved in defamatory social media posts, filing spurious lawsuits, and fraudulent activities.
