Supporters and activists of Inqilab Moncho organized ‘March for Justice’ on Sunday in Dhaka, demanding the swift arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible for the killing of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi.

The demonstration began at 12:30 PM at Shahbagh intersection, where hundreds of protesters gathered, filling the area with chants and slogans.

Activists raised cries such as, “Who are you, who am I; Hadi, Hadi” and “Why did my brother die? Give answer, interim” as they prepared for a citywide march.

The procession was scheduled to pass through several major points in Dhaka, including Dhanmondi-Jigatala, Shankar Bus Stand, Mohammadpur Bus Stand near Allah Karim Mosque, Pallabi and Mirpur-10 circle, before concluding at Uttara BNS Center later in the day.

Protesters expressed frustration over what they described as administrative failures in bringing the main perpetrators to justice.

Despite the time that has passed since Hadi’s murder, organisers said key suspects remain at large. Various slogans reflected the protesters’ determination and defiance.

Leaders of Inqilab Moncho warned that street movements would continue until proper justice is delivered.

The group has previously indicated that it might call for government action if Hadi’s killers evade punishment and Sunday’s march was seen as a continuation of that campaign.

Other chants included “Catch the League, fill the jails”, “We will expose Awami League’s corruption” and “Dhaka or Delhi; Dhaka, Dhaka”, highlighting broader political grievances alongside demands for justice for Hadi.

The march served as a demonstration of both the organisational strength of Inqilab Moncho and the level of public support for its cause.

As activists moved through various parts of the city, their message remained clear: accountability for Hadi’s death is non-negotiable and pressure on the authorities will continue until arrests are made and trials completed.
