JU Higher Study Club gets new executive body

Jahangirnagar University (JU) Higher Study Club (JUHSC) has formed its new executive committee for the 2026 session, appointing Md Abdus Safwan Mia of the Department of Mathematics (50th batch) as president and Umma Habiba of the Department of History (51st batch) as general secretary.

The club's Media Director, Jobayer Hossen Jakir, confirmed the development on Saturday noon.

The committee has also named Mohammad Hamim of the Department of Mathematics (51st batch) as vice president, while Maharun Nesa Ritu of the Department of Government and Politics (50th batch) has been appointed joint general secretary.
Among other office bearers, Mostofa Umme Habiba Shemika has been appointed public welfare secretary, Soumik Saha publicity secretary, Lal Lom Ngak Baom organising secretary, Prithula Das office secretary and Rita Aktari research secretary.
