Additional Attorney General Mohammad Arshadur Rouf has been appointed Acting Attorney General with immediate effect following the resignation of Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman.
The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a notification to this effect on Thursday, January 1, by order of the President. The order said Additional Attorney General Mohammad Arshadur Rouf has been given the additional charge of the Attorney General's post, effective immediately, to ensure continuity in the office of the state's chief law officer. Md Asaduzzaman resigned on December 28.
