Leaders from across the political spectrum expressed deep shock and condolences over the death of BNP Chairperson and three-time former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia, describing her as an uncompromising leader, a symbol of democratic resistance, and a towering figure in the nation's political history.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the nation had suffered an irreplaceable loss. "Just as a mother's shadow hangs over her head during a crisis, the nation has been deprived of that shadow today. We too have been deprived of it. It is very difficult for the nation to overcome this loss," he said.

BNP Chairperson's Advisor Aman Ullah Aman recalled Khaleda Zia's lifelong attachment to Bangladesh. "Three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia said she had no other address except Bangladesh. The land and people of this Bangladesh were hers. She endured unbearable torture, yet she never wanted to leave the country," he said.

Party Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu emphasized her steadfast principles. "Whenever there has been a crisis in the country, Begum Khaleda Zia has played an important role. She never went into the mire of compromise," he said.
