Armed Forces mourn death

The country's uniformed services and law enforcement bodies on Tuesday expressed profound shock and sorrow over the death of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, describing her passing as an irreparable loss to Bangladesh's political history and democratic evolution.

The Bangladesh Army, in a photo card posted on its official Facebook page, expressed deep shock at the death of the three time former prime minister, paying respect to one of the most influential figures in the country's political landscape. The Bangladesh Air Force also issued a condolence message on its official Facebook page, praying for the eternal peace and forgiveness of the departed soul and extending heartfelt sympathies to her bereaved family members and the people of the country. "We express our deep condolences at the passing of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. We pray for the peace and forgiveness of the departed soul and convey our sincere sympathies to the grieving family and the nation," the message said, adding a prayer that Almighty Allah grant her a place in Jannatul Ferdous.
