Ex-AL leader held in Ctg

Police arrested a former local leader of the banned political organisation, Awami League, from Fatikchhari upazila of Chattogram district on Sunday morning.

The arrested is Mujibul Haque Moju, 75, a resident of Heyako Bazar area under Dantmara union in the upazila. Moju was a former president of the banned organisation's union unit.

According to police, they conducted a drive at around 10:30 AM and arrested Moju in front of his residence.

Confirming the incident, Bhujpur Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Bipul Chandra Dey stated that a court had issued an arrest warrant against him in connection with a case.
