Thailand lifted the women's doubles title at the Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh International Series, capping a composed performance on the final day. The Thai pair of Thitiworada and Sarisa outplayed Malaysia's Jan Min Yee and Tan Jing Hui in a three-set final, winning 21-13, 17-21 and 21-17 to take the crown.
In women's singles, India emerged on top as Tanvi Reddy showed her class in the final. She defeated Malaysia's Lim Zhi Shin in straight games, 21-19 and 21-9, to clinch the title and underline her growing stature on the international circuit.
The men's singles title went to Kazakhstan, with Dmitriy Panarin producing a strong finish to overcome Malaysia's Mohammad Haris Sufian Rushdan. After sharing the first two games, Panarin sealed the match 21-16, 14-21 and 21-10 to stand tallest on the podium.
The finals were attended by senior officials, including Taptun Nasrin, DIG (Headquarters), Bangladesh Police and Joint Secretary of the Bangladesh Badminton Federation, Md Moniruzzaman, DIG (Protection), Special Branch, Bangladesh Police, BBF General Secretary Russel Kabir Suman, and Mahbub Rob, national award-winning shuttler and former BBF General Secretary.
Results in several other events are yet to be decided, with more finals to follow as the tournament draws to a close.
