Dhaka University (DU) students staged protests after the administration removed artwork depicting convicted war criminals during a Martyred Intellectuals' Day exhibition at Jagannath Hall.

Images of Golam Azam, Nizami, and Kader Molla, labelled as Rajakars, were painted by students as part of the 'Art Exhibition and Expression of Protest through Paintbrush' programme organised by the Hall Parliament.

The artwork was erased by university officials just hours before the exhibition was set to begin at 11:00 AM on Sunday.

Pallab Barman, Vice-President (VP) of Jagannath Hall union, condemned the action, saying the administration acted without consulting student organisers. "We strongly condemn and protest this action," he said at a noon gathering where students voiced their grievances.
