Urgent action needed to control teenage gangs

Dear Sir,

The rise of teenage gangs in different parts of the country has become a major concern, as their involvement in violence, extortion, drug abuse and other crimes threatens social harmony. Many teenagers fall into these activities due to moral decline, misuse of technology, peer pressure and a lack of proper guidance at home and school.

To address this worrying trend, teenagers must receive strong mental and moral education that helps them develop discipline, empathy and responsibility. Opportunities for sports, cultural programs and community-based youth activities can keep them engaged and away from harmful environments. Awareness campaigns are also needed to inform people about the long-term dangers of gang involvement.

Authorities, parents and educational institutions must work together with greater dedication. Parental supervision should be increased and monitoring systems in schools and colleges should be strengthened. With timely and effective measures, it is possible to control teenage gangs and protect the future of our generation.
