Osman Hadi’s home burgled in Jhalakathi

A burglary has been reported at the village home of Sharif Osman Hadi, an election hopeful and convener of Inquilab Mancha who was shot in Dhaka.

The incident took place late on Friday night at Hadi’s house in the Khasmahal area of Jhalakathi's Nalchhiti.

Confirming the matter, Nolchiti Police Station OC Ariful Alam said, “We received the news and immediately went to the scene. Our investigation is ongoing.”
Osman Hadi’s cousin Sirajul Islam confirmed that Osman Hadi and his mother live in Dhaka. At the time of the burglary, Hadi’s sister Masuma Begum and her husband Monir Hossain were residing in the Nalchhiti house.

After hearing about Hadi being shot, his sister and brother-in-law had left for Dhaka. Taking advantage of the empty house, the burglars broke a window to gain entry. The exact value of stolen items is not yet known.
