Bullet lodged in Hadi’s head, surgery underway at DMCH

Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8, is undergoing emergency surgery after being shot earlier on Friday.

Doctors have confirmed that a bullet is still lodged inside his head.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Director Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman shared the latest update on Friday afternoon, saying Hadi was taken into the operation theatre for urgent surgical intervention.
“There is a bullet inside his head. Surgery is currently underway,” the DMCH director said.

Hadi was shot in the capital’s Bijoynagar area while travelling by rickshaw. He was rushed to DMCH for immediate treatment, where a team of neurosurgeons is now working to remove the bullet and stabilise him.
