2 varsity students killed as DSCC truck smashes motorcycle

Two university students have been killed after a Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) garbage truck rammed their motorcycle in Dhaka's Demra.

Deceased Gazi Iram Redwan, 25, was the student of American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), while Opu Ahmed, 25, studied at United International University (UIU).

Critically injured Iram and Opu were admitted to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duo succumbed to their injuries early Friday.

According to DMCH police camp OC, the two were returning home from a wedding event when their vehicle was rammed by the city corporation truck in the Konapara area.
