Stocks concluded on Thursday in green zone in the final session of the week, as investors reacted positively to growing optimism over encouraging developments related to the forthcoming national election.

DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), recovered 22.0 points to settle at 4,964 points, as against 4,942 points in the previous trading session.

Despite a lackluster start, market indices gathered notable upward momentum in the mid-session as opportunistic investors capitalized on perceived undervalued scrips, ultimately concluding the session firmly in positive territory.

However, market turnover decreased by 13.1% to a Taka 4.6 billion from Taka 5.3 billion in the previous session.
On the sectoral front, Textile (14.4%) issues exerted the highest turnover, followed by Pharma (13.0%) and Engineering (12.9%) sectors.

The port city bourse, CSE, also settled on a positive zone. The Selective Categories' Index (CSCX) and All Share Price Index (CASPI) advanced by 12.0 points and 20.6 points, respectively. "BSS
