Dr Fahmida appointed to UN Secy Gen's expert panel

Dr Fahmida Khatun, Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), has been appointed to the United Nations Secretary-General's Independent Expert Advisory Panel on the Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI).

The appointment was announced by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, CPD said in a press release on Wednesday.

A noted economist and policy analyst, Dr Fahmida has long worked on development challenges, economic resilience, and climate vulnerability. Her inclusion on the panel is seen as recognition of her expertise as well as Bangladesh's growing role in global development discussions.
CPD also expressed gratitude to media partners for their continued support of the organisation's initiatives.
