Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur on Tuesday inaugurated a new chapter in the journey of Bangladesh Bank's digitization process, namely the e-desk system.
All deputy governors, executive directors and concerned directors were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Bangladesh Bank is entering a new era by inaugurating the e-desk system. An online-based noting system will be introduced from now on, apart from the traditional noting system.
Initially, this system is being introduced only at the head office, which will be introduced in phases in all offices of Bangladesh Bank.. Officials of HRD-1 and ICT Department of Bangladesh Bank have jointly developed the system.
It has been decided to settle all the dissolvable cases from the departmental level to director level through the e-desk from Wednesday (December 10). Later, from January 1, 2026, all dispensable notings at all levels will be disposed of through the e-desk.
