Motorcyclist killed in Nilphamari road crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a road crash at Hajiganj Bazar area of Nilphamari Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Maruf Hossain, 35, son of Abdus Salam of Chatrashal village under Choorabargachha union of Sadar upazila.

According to locals, the incident occurred on the Nilphamari-Nilsagar road when a truck hit the motorcycle from the opposite direction, leaving its rider, Maruf, dead on the spot.
Being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body.

Nilphamari Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Zillur Rahman confirmed the death and said that the body was handed over to the deceased’s family.
