The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) has scheduled December 14 to deliver its order on whether charges will be framed against 13 individuals; including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, in a case involving allegations of enforced disappearances and torture at Joint Interrogation Cell (JIC) during the previous Awami League government.
Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumder, chair of the three-member ICT-1 panel, set the date after both prosecution and defence completed their submissions.
Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam argued in favour of indicting the accused, while defence lawyers sought their discharge.
