Despite a 'peace agreement', higher secondary students of Dhaka College and Ideal College again locked into a clash on Tuesday on the 30th day of that agreement.
Centering the clash, panic spread in Science Lab and Green Road areas as students are chasing one another and hurling bricks. Police charged baton on them to disperse them from the street.
Ideal College vandalised two buses-- 'Bijay 71' and 'Shankha'nil'-- of Dhaka College, leaving some students injured. As the news spread, more than 150 students, equipped with stamps and sticks, attacked the students of Ideal College that escalated the clash between both groups.
Vehicular movement in that area and nearby areas came to halt.
Additional law enforcers have been deployed there to calm the situation.
The reason behind the renewed clash could not be determined immediately.
On November 9, New Market Police Station OC AKM Mahfuzul Haque organised a 'Peace Agreement Ceremony' at Dhaka College between Dhaka College and Ideal College students.
