Dengue: 2 more death, toll reaches 398 so far

Two more people have died from dengue, a disease carried by Aedes mosquitoes, in the past 24 hours.

This brings the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 398 so far this year.   

Meanwhile, the number of people admitted due to dengue this year has reached 98,284, including 455 in a single day from 8am on Sunday to 8am on Monday. This information was given in a regular dengue press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.

DGHS dengue report said that of the 455 new cases, 57 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation-CC), 51 in Chattogram division (out of CC), 53 in each Dhaka division (Out of CC), 106 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 55 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 44 in Khulna division (Out of CC), 32 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 48 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), 3 in Rangpur division (Out of CC) and 6 in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
