KHULNA, Dec 8: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) have arrested Palash, widely known as 'Chingri Palash', a criminal from Khulna and one of the prime accused in the sensational murder of Sabbir, from Jashore on Saturday night.
According to a RAB-6 press release on Monday, an operation was launched after the force received information that Palash, 26, had been hiding in the Sadeq Darogar Mor area under Kotwali Model Police Station of Jashore.
Acting on the tip-off, a team of RAB-6, CPC-3, conducted a raid in the area on Saturday night and arrested Palash.
Palash, son of Sultan Hossain of Goborchaka area under Sonadanga Thana in Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP). Palash is accused in multiple cases, including murder, explosives, narcotics and extortion, and is known in the locality as a notorious criminal.
