A woman and her 15-year-old daughter have been found dead in a flat in Dhaka's Mohammadpur.
Police suspected that homemaid of the flat might have killed the duo and fled away.
The deceased were identified as Malaika Afroz and Nafisa Binte Aziz.
The incident occurred on the seventh floor of of an apartment on Shahjahapur Road.
Tejgaon Division's (Mohammadpur Zone) Assistant Police Commissioner Md Abdullah Al Mamun said, ''Getting a phone call, a team went to the flat and recovered the bodies. We are investigating the incident reviewing the nearby CCTV footage.''
Azizul Islam, a teacher at an English-medium school, went out for a work in the morning. When he come o the house around 12PM, he found the blood-ridden body of his wife and critically injured daughter. Then he rushed her daughter to a nearby hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead, the police commissioner added.
Police and Tejgaon Division's top officials were present at the scene.
