Three former Bangladesh Air Force captains have filed a fraud case against Salman F Rahman, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and five others, alleging non-payment of dues totaling Tk 12.05 million.
The case was lodged on Sunday with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akhter by Capt. Md. Mahbub Alam, Capt. Mohammad Rashedul Amin and Capt. Zahidur Rahman.
The other accused include Salman F Rahman’s brother, ASF Rahman and officials of Beximco Aviation; Abdullah Khan Mojlish, Imran Khan Mojlish, Gulzar Hossain and Syed Samiul Wadud alias Sami Wadud.
According to the plaintiffs’ lawyer, Md. Tarikul Islam, the complainants had worked as pilots for Beximco Aviation, a company owned by Salman F Rahman.
While they received their salaries during employment, they were terminated in February without receiving their outstanding dues.
The lawyer further alleged that the company engaged in deceptive practices during recruitment and salary settlement.
Following the filing, the court has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the matter and submit a report.
