6 family members burnt in Agargaon gas line explosion

Six members of a family, including a child, have suffered burn injuries from fire caused by gas line explosion at a home in the capital's Agargaon.

Injured Md Jalil Mia, 50, Aneja Begum, 40, Asif Mia, 19, Sakib Mia, 16, Eva, 6, and Monira Akter, 17, were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 7:45AM on Saturday.

Afran Mia, relative of the injured said, a fire broke out at House No. 204/F beside Paka Market Islamic Foundation from a gas line leakage at about 4:30Am, leaving six of the family members burnt.

The DMCH police camp in-charge inspector Md Farruque said the injured family members are currently being dressed at the burn unit.
